About Us
University Pediatrics – Rutledge Tower is open. We are pleased to offer in-person appointments and online video visits for both new and returning patients. Schedule a visit with your providers by calling 843-792-3955. We will continue to provide expanded online care options throughout the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and afterward to meet the medical needs of the Lowcountry community. We are accepting new patients! MUSC Children’s Health pediatricians are conveniently located in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. We provide primary care for children, from birth through 18 years. The practice is an NCQA-recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home and is staffed by pediatric residents and pediatric attending faculty members through the Division of General Pediatrics. Residents are doctors who have completed medical school and are pursuing advanced training in pediatrics. Residents write prescriptions, diagnose and treat medical problems, and help you and your child to live a healthier life. Depending on their training schedules, families may not see the same resident at all their visits, but we try to have the same resident see your child for each well-check and follow-up appointment. After completing their advanced training, residents are closely supervised by attending board-certified doctors in pediatrics. Attending doctors participate in every visit at Rutledge Tower and are always available if you, your child, or the resident doctors have questions or concerns.
